“I came across ‘the block’ exchange on our website and Facebook page, researching the‘Wealth of Sogavare, and Chinese giving money to Solomon Star,’ or so it seems,” Ofani said, “of course it concerns me.” Ofani Eremae is the Co-founder, and Editor of the In-depth Solomons website and Facebook page.

“My friend, well..,” I replied, “You are more the expert here. I would not even spit on him.”

Solomon Intel (SI) was delicate enough to highlight events, and diagnose issues, instead of parroting the actual happening and gossip of the so called political specialist. Solomon Intel (SI) asserts ‘hate speech’ was certainly not the context used in its articles, and also, the ‘F – word’ was certainly not the word used in its articulation.

Even if Solomon Intel (SI) articulation upset some people, or else affect their actual nature of business. This is because basically people do not like to be talked about, especially men and their very human nature, and especially if they did something very heinous.

In this case, as far as I know, Solomon Intel (SI) articulates what took place a long time ago. For example, in 1980 concerned a very young black belt karate instructor, 2019 apprehended the Bintan Mining Solomon Islands (BMSI) and Whitlam Togamae, and 2021 the November riot and burning down of China town, Kukum, and Ranadi area.

I hope the time comes when we put our political specialist into perspective – however, I strongly believe, it is time, such uncompromising exchange ‘the block’ or else the traditional tendency to obscurity and submission, the common currency, or behavior these days, however childish at times, are put into context.

I came across ‘the block’ on my blogger and Facebook page ‘Solomon Intel (SI)’ as well. And, through researching the issue of censorship, after a reader phoned to say he could not access Solomon Intel (SI) BlogSpot on Facebook. I was hopeless, we are really at a loss to explain why Solomon Intel (SI) BlogSpot and all its blogs are suddenly spam to Facebook.

Solomon Intel (SI) presumed, especially with confidence, and strong research-based evidence, that after we blogged about Bintan Mining Solomon Islands (BMSI), and Whitlam Togamae, we experienced 'the block' on our BlogSpot, because it worked fine before those blogs.

Solomon Intel (SI) sees the linkage between corporate interests, legal advisors, and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) secretariat. Whether this is a larger effort by Solomon Islands Goverment (SIG) and Facebook to control all information ought to be enthused over.

Solomon Intel (SI) sees it as censorship from PMO - Secretariat, BMSI interests, and Facebook trying to profit from the internet and everything a Facebook user sees. In other words, if they think that less viewers on Facebook offer them security through 'the block' blogs, Solomon Intel (SI) can switch in a twinkle with startling speed online.

Meaning, 'the block' Solomon Intel (SI) BlogSpot and Facebook page is really fluid and capricious on the internet, and online users. It basically demonstrates how powerful a Special Secretary to the Prime Minister (SSPM) can act to support its corporate interets, and put down an ordinary Solomon Islands private citizen’s blogger, or stop Solomon Intel (SI) from sharing on its social media Facebook platform.

It happened in December 20, 2021 when BMSI and Whitlam Togamae petition Facebook and were aided by the powerful SSPM and Meta (Owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) presumably to stop distribution of Solomon Intel (SI) blog on Facebook in an escalating test over what we saw as political censorship.

Imagine. Solomon Intel (SI) is the only ‘Pure Solomon’ blogger, period. No one else to better look out for our interests better than we ourselves. Blogging is a novelty (meaning no one is doing it in Solomon Islands, not many). It is not considered a profitable innovativeness, either.

For instance, basically I supported my blog Solomon Intel (SI) from my dwindling savings, and Solomon Intel (SI) receives no state aid, nor donor fund whatsoever too, we get google credits instead, like ten (10) gig on google AdSense, you dig. And, if we help, assist, or aid any of our local Non Government Organizations (NGOs) with this ten (10) gig google AdSense, we do it for free, for everyone, forever! (Pure Solomon volunteer stuff). 

Now, why are we doing this, blogging? It is because like you, and most other powerful people in Solomon Islands, we are blessed with a University education, as well as contacts in Australia, and other continents, in America, Europe, and in Asia where we can speak up to express Solomon Islands freedom, and independence.

According to Ghazali at the United Nations (UN), for example, “one side, my years of experience in Indigenous diplomacy. The other, the wealth of knowledge from countless books and notes. And, in between? Of course, my authentic voice. Imagination, the words flow like a clear mountain stream.”

But in reality, it’s like trudging through thick mud.

Of course, we are not that naïve. we have our fair share of suffering, too. There are people in authority who secretly threatened us with arrest if we do not comply with orders, our call sign – these are orders to take you down, and your blogger, too.

Indeed, between Solomon Intel (SI) BlogSpot and the irascible BMSI and Whitlam Togamae, and the powerful SSPM, the DCCG – SSPM, and now the GNUT - SSPM, who we presume, are the great haters of the freedom of information, and freedom of speech in Solomon Islands.

Solomon Intel (SI) strongly believes a High Court injunction should restrain the SSPM and the BMSI Whitlam Togamae from further suppression, and a dispute over riot time as well as covid time censorship principles should eventually resolved by negotiation, and consultation, and not censorship.

For now all is well. We live for another day in the happy isles. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. The powerful SSPM never forgave nor forgot, nor is Whitlam Togamae.

Know this for sure. To be a stepping stone for pure Solomon people, and the next generation of Solomon Islands Indigenous leaders. This challenge is pushing Solomon Intel (SI) forward, it's a tightrope walk. Most of all? We want every word to matter. It's humbling, exhilarating, and very frustrating.  

Sometimes, the most valuable lessons come from the struggle itself. What's pushing you out of your comfort zone lately? How are you turning your experience into value for others?

Wish you luck, and please pray for our beloved Solomon Islands. Solomon Intel (SI) will always remain neutral, and not involve in geo politics articulation nonetheless. Imagine, it’s 2024 in Honiara, and we are being executed for liking a meme, or sharing a blog. Please, think about it.

In other words, let me ‘tok-stori’ first time, okay. The other day, we met the powerful SSPM at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and he was all bollock. Hey! Is this the same guy we got high at University of the South Pacific back in the day? I was notorious back then, really hard times, too. The PMO’s – Director Communications knew about it, too. Yaar Hermz, you meanim.

We have not the slightest doubt that, if the PMO’s former Chief of Staff had lived, he’d be the first person to have rubbed his greasy hands on our effort in his humorous, “I was just thinking what an awful piece of bollock you are.”

Now that’s a hard one.

I recall all those years ago, at drinks and good times with my online (and offline) Facebook friend the late Robson, I saw there was a good deal more apparently.

Then it seems DCCG have always tweak the laws governing our media to suit what they’ve perceived as DCCG’s political interest. Press bias or whatever we call it these days is not something we stumble on in November 2021, not to mention censorship and Covid19. That’s how the game is played. ‘The Great Game.’

Indeed it certainly drives our enthusiasm, or our God interest, such as, active knowledge, to do justice, to speak the truth, or to write one’s version of the truth, and seeing the truth has no alibi, we are no longer minions. But, instead, we become active, independent, freedom people of the one true God.

This is when it develops more enthusiasm, more God interest, because we strive to live by faith, to sacrifice for others and work extra hard, and blog smart enough to live the good life, and as a result, or as, what some of our political analysts like to term, the outcome; we abide by the supreme law of our beloved Solomon, the Constitution of Solomon Islands. And, unlike militias, and minions, and false fortune teller, we become the real active, independent, freedom loving citizens of this nation.

There is nothing worse than an old captain handing out advice no one wants to hear, indeed, we are not speaking in the name of Solomon Islands society, whether high society or low society, neither light on the hill society, nor shanty river bank society, or company haus registered society, or Facebook registered society. This is not our claim. We are not keyboard warriors.

I am speaking merely as a pure Solomon, no more no less, full pure, period.

And, for this reason, I can’t help but agree more with what my friend Allan Ramsey (best Journalist ever!) said – “Journalism is a diminished culture. Some of us want to cut our throats at times (including me), some of the readers wish we would.”

Looking back, I should have been more sincere in making Solomon Intel (SI) blog the focus of attention about Solomon Giants, Dwarves, and Elves, and Witches, instead of Solomon History & Politics, or the big word, Sustainable & Development. Believe me, Middle Earth truly exists right here in the Solomon Islands.

True God, there are people who are really cold blooded, it literally makes you sit up and think, like “Does alien (extra-terrestrial) really exists here in Solomon Islands?” Try this as your opener to talk to somewhat beautiful pure Solomon girls in town, or in the villages, you will be surprised by the answers you are getting.
